Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Clear Lake with the Rev. Michael Enderle officiating. Burial is in the Lakeview Cemetery in Clear Lake. H e l e n e Wilhelmine ( M u s c h ) A s m u s s e n was born on July 18, 1919, at Moritz, the daughter of Henry and E m m a ( P a u l s o n ) Musch. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church at Altamont. Helen attended school at Moritz, District No. 33 School. Following her education , she worked for various families as a housekeeper and babysitter in the Gary area. On July 18, 1942, she married Everett Asmussen at the Trinity Lutheran Church parsonage in Clear Lake. Everett was inducted into the Army on Oct. 6, 1942, and Helen remained on the home place and kept the house for her folks and helped take care of her two younger brothers. Following three year of service, Everett returned home and he and Helen then settled on the Musch farm near Moritz. Everett died on April 22, 1990. Helen lived on this farm her whole life until 1997 when she moved into the apartments in Gary. She lived there until Oct. 10, 2003. After breaking her hip she entered the White Health Care Center in White. Helen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Clear Lake. She was a past member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Altamont and taught Sunday school for 22 years. Her biggest joys were her church, her family and friends. She enjoyed music, gardening, reading , canning, baking and the animals on her farm. She survived by her three children, Lynne (James) Thomas of Gary, Marilyn (Jeff) Olsen of Herman, Minn., and Wendell (Margaret) Asmussen, Gary; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren ; one greatgreat granddaughter; one brother, Elmer (Dolly) Musch of Clear Lake. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett; three brothers: William, Albert and Henry, Jr. and one sister, Eleanora Giese.
