Description	:	Helene E. Fox, 87, 703 Washington Ave., died at 3:45 p.m. Friday in Leisure Oaks Nursing Care Center, Defiance. She was born Jan. 19, 1913, in Defiance, the daughter of John and Catherine (Fronk) Mekus. In 1944 she married Paul Fox, who died in 1993. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society and Noodle Club. Surviving are three sons, John, Bill and Tony, all of Defiance; two daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Mary Kay) Rugh of New Philadelphia and Jane Lackey, Medina; and four grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, George, Hubert and Herman Mekus and three sisters, Marcella, Leona and Sister Clara Marie Mekus, OP. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the church with Rev. Tim Kummerer officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today and 8:30-10:30 a.m. Monday in Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, where a rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today.
