Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center. Visitation will be Sunday, November 29th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with family present from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center. Social distancing guidelines will be followed at the funeral home and the church, and masks are strongly encouraged. Henrich Lloyd Kraayenbrink was born on September 2, 1935, the son of Dick and Ethel (Wiersma) Kraayenbrink. He grew up between Newkirk and Middleburg and attended country school through elementary and went to Newkirk High School graduating in 1953. While he was in high school and after he worked for two different farmers in the area, Henry Moss and Dave Broek. In February 1958, Heintz joined the air guard in Sioux City. After three years, he went on reserves. In the fall of 1961, he was called up through McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey to go to France. He returned the fall of 1962. On October 2, 1959, he was united in marriage to Virginia Oliver in Sioux Center, IA. To this union three children were born, Dale, Evan and Kaye. They made their home east of Sioux Center where he started farming. Virginia passed away from Aplasitc Anemia on October 9, 1966. After her death Heintz valued the help he received from his family and friends. In the spring of 1967, Heintz and the kids moved to a farm west of Sioux Center where he continued dairy farming. On February 9, 1968, Heintz married Marilyn Nieuwendorp in Sheldon, IA. He was a member of the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center, where he served as an Elder and Deacon. He enjoyed working on old tractors and going on tractor rides. Heintz liked convertible rides in the summertime and car shows. He loved watching sports and attending as many family members events as he could. Family was important to him. Heintz is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Marilyn Kraayenbrink of Sioux Center, IA; three children, Dale and Brenda (Westra) Kraayenbrink, Evan and Rachalle (De Jager) Kraayenbrink, and Kaye and Duane Sitzmann all of Sioux Center, IA; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren with two more on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Virginia Kraayenbrink; grandson, Blake Sitzmann; brother and sister-in-law, Asa and Wilhelmina Kraayenbrink; and sister and brother-in-law, Alyda and Donald Wassenaar.
