Henrietta was married to Charles Jamica (Jamaica) "Jamica" Norman (son of Charles Wesley Norman and Martha M. Slaughter). Charles was born on July 10, 1856 and died on March 4, 1945 and was buried at the West Cemetery, Davis City, Decatur Co., Iowa. Charles and Henrietta established a home on a farm in the Terre haute, Iowa vicinity, given to Charles by his parents. Henrietta is remembered as a rather large woman, who went to town in a horse drawn wagon, when she could she forded the river at the Butcher Ford and at times told her children that she thought the wagon was going to upset. She always brought her daughter Graces's children candy. Along with their regular farming activities, they dealt extensively in livestock, raising horses, and shipping cattle. On certificates at the courthouse, Henrietta used the last name spelling of McGauhey and McGahey. They were a family who believed in God and read the Bible extensively. They always found time to discuss with their friends matters of religious natures. Their home was open to receive friends and strangers alike. It is passed down that Charles and Henrietta are both buried at the West Cemetery, Davis City, Iowa.
