Description	:	Henrietta, daughter of Charles and Charlotte (Blakely) Stewart was born June 3, 1873 in Jackson county, Iowa. She moved to Shelby county with her parents in 1877 when she was four years of age. She attended Pioneer school, followed by normal school in Woodbine, and Iowa state Teacher's college at Cedar Falls. She taught in rural schools until her marriage to John Boardman March 20, 1902. She and her husband joined the Tennant Methodist church shortly after its organization, and devoted a life of service to her community largely through the church. Mrs Boardman passed away at the family home in Tennant April 28. She reached the age of 80 years, 10 months and 25 days. Surviving are her husband, John and four children, David, Jess and Charlotte (Mrs Harold Plumb) all of Tennant and Howard of Chicago, Illinois. Also two sisters, Ellen Stewart of Harlan and Anna Stewart of Los Angeles, California and ten grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Tennant Methodist church Friday, April 30, with the Rev. Wilbert Gauer in charge. Burial was in the Shelby cemetery. The Harlan News Advertiser Harlan, Iowa May 4, 1954
