| Description | : | Son of Charles Ray & Dorothy (Beal) Penington. He graduated from Kramer High School in 1934. Beal married Ruth Alta Schram on April 9, 1944 in Ponca, Nebraska. She died November 5, 1970. He later married Karen (Worley) Smith on August 4, 1983 in Yankton, South Dakota. Beal lived in Columbus his entire life where he owned and operated Penington Electric and then worked for Cornhusker Public Power District until his retirement.
