Ten children were born to the couple: Gideon, Henry Jr., Fred, Alfred, Herman, Daniel, Martha, Jacob, Gottlieb, and the tenth who preceded Henry in death. Henry came with his parents to America in 1884, arriving in McPherson County on May 01, 1886; after spending the winter at Tyndall, South Dakota.
