Va., he was the son of the late William Cecil and Ann Thomas Rice. He was formerly employed at Celco Fibers Company, a self employed farmer and for many years a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. Rice, Jr., Salem; Mark Rice, Pembroke; nine daughters, Sharon Carbaugh, Pembroke; Reba Smith, Roanoke; Lois Blankenship, Roanoke; Louise Tickle, Pembroke; Eula Noble, Jacksonville, Fla.; Cleo Tate, Pearisburg; Thelma Austin, Pearisburg; Ethel Flowers, Salem; and Teresa Wilson, Pembroke; one brother, Luther Rice, Peterstown; one sister, Daisy Goad, Newport, N. C.; forty-four grandchildren, seventy great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel, Pembroke. Burial will be in the McClaugherty (Davis) Cemetery in the Clendennin Community near Narrows. FIRST MARRIAGE: Henry C.
