Description	:	1964. Millbrooke, July 20 - The death of Henry CLARK occurred at his home, Millbrook, on Sunday morning, July 12, after several months of failing health. He was born here on August 26, 1897, a son of the late Charles and Margaret (AITCHESON) CLARK. He was the last surviving member of a family of nine. All his life was spent farming except two brief periods during which Mr. CLARK worked at the shoemaking trade. Millbrooke, July 20 - The death of Henry CLARK occurred at his home, Millbrook, on Sunday morning, July 12, after several months of failing health. He was born here on August 26, 1897, a son of the late Charles and Margaret (AITCHESON) CLARK. He was the last surviving member of a family of nine. All his life was spent farming except two brief periods during which Mr. CLARK worked at the shoemaking trade. In 1899 he married Henrietta MacEACHERN of West Tatamagouche who predeceased him in 1948. Mr. CLARK is survived by three sons and three daughters, Elwell of Kyle, Saskatchewan; Fred in Rochester, New Hampshire, and Alex at home; Mrs. Raymond DICKSON (Margaret), Fenwick; Mrs. Harold SMITH (CASSIE) Amherst; and Mrs. AUSTIN LOGAN (ETHEL) Amherst Point. Also surviving are nineteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mr. CLARK's pride in his Scottish ancestry and his friendship for and interest in people far and near, were surpassed only be his unshakeable faith in God. Funeral service for Mr. CLARK was held on Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock in his home. Rev. K.M. ROGERSON, West New Annan United Church, (of which the deceased was a member) conducted the service. He was assisted by Rev. W.N. BYERS (by request of deceased) who brought words of assurance and comfort to the bereaved. The hymns "The Lord's My Shepherd", "Sweet Bye and Bye" and "Shall We Gather At The River" were beautifully sung by the West New Annan and Bayhead choirs. The organ was played by Mrs. John G. FERGUSON, who, with her husband, had been asked a few years ago by Mr. CLARK to take part in the singing. The pallbearers were Charles, James, and Otis CLARK, Fred A. LANGILLE, Laurie SWAN, and Fred P. LANGILLE. Many beautiful flowers bore witness of Mr. CLARK's popularity among friends and relatives. He was buried in Clark Cemetery, French River.
