For 52 years, ever since he was 16, Mr. Ply had worked at the Wabash Cabinet Co., and was on his way home from work when the accident occurred. Henry Ply was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ply and was born in Wabash county in October 1868. Forty-eight years ago he was married to Ida Applegate, who survives. Seven children were born to this union. He was affiliated with the First Methodist church of this city, also a member of the Eagles Lodge. Surviving are his widow; seven children, Mrs. Lorin Rife, who is seriously ill in the hospital; Mrs. James Beaver, Mrs. Dewey Creps, Mrs. Earl Snyder, Mrs. Burr Stineman, John Ply and Mrs. Harry Ravenscroft, all of Wabash; also two sisters, Mrs. Ida Small of Wabash and Mrs. I.D. Bennett of Chicago, who is ill and will be unable to attend the services, and one brother, Will Ply of Wabash. Thirty-eight grandchildren also survive. Services will be conducted from the Wabash Street Methodist church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Claude Garrison officiating. #Burial will take place in Falls cemetery.
