Description	:	OBIT: Coming as a distinct shock to his many friends in the valley, the death of Cooper Mills, Damman District farmer, occurred late yesterday afternoon. An ingrowing goiter was the cause of his death. It had been bothering him for a long time, but the illness became acute early last week. Mr. Mills, a resident of the valley since 1896, was one of the best known and liked farmers of the community. For years he had been a member of the Ellensburg Elks Lodge which will conduct funeral services at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon from the First Methodist Church.... Mr. Mills was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on September 8, 1876. He lived in the city until 1891, when with his mother he came to Roslyn to meet his father and his brother, John. The family resided in Roslyn until 1898 when they took up farming in the Damman District. On September 5, 1906, Mr. Mills was married to Miss Irma Riegel. They leave two sons, Irwin, aged 15, and George, 19. Surviving the deceased are his widow and two children, his mother, Mrs. Mary Mills, a brother, John Mills, all of this city; and four sisters, Mrs. Kate McCumber, Mrs. George McCloud and Miss Emily .., Ellensburg and Mrs. Lena.., Sunnyside.
