He married Delilah Susan Bowers, daughter of Peter Bowers and Mary Brown, on 30 April 1889 at the home of the groom's stepmother, Edwards County, Illinois. Henry Franklin "Frank" Dollahon died on 28 February 1929 at Kenmare, Ward County, North Dakota, at age 60. He was buried at Lake View Cemetery, Kenmare, Ward County, North Dakota. "Henry Franklin Dollahon, a pioneer of this vicinity and for the past 12 years a resident of this city passed away at his home in Kenmare last Thursday evening, Feb. 28, death resulting from creeping paralysis from which he has been suffering for the past year. Mr. Dollahon was born near Little Rock, Arkansas, Oct. 19, 1868, and at the time of death was sixty years, four months and nine days old. Mr. Dollahon after leaving his home at Little Rock moved to Illinois where he was married to Miss Delilah Bowers, at West Salem, and their fortieth wedding anniversary would have been celebrated the latter part of next month. Leaving Illinois they moved to this state (Kenmare ND), and for the past twenty-seven years they have been a part of this community. Mr. Dollahon engaged in farming, until he accepted a position with American Express Company in Kenmare and he continued to hold that position until his illness last spring. "To this union were born seven children, one [of] whom died at birth. Surviving Mr. Dollahon besides his wife are: Mrs. Mary (James) Larsen, of Duluth, Minn., Robert Dollahon, of Wahpeton, ND; Glenn Dollahon, Glendale, Calif; Mrs. Ruth (Richard) Gibson, of Westhoff, Texas; Mrs. Edith (Earl) Ankenbauer, of Kenmare; Bruce, at home. Mrs. Larson, Mrs. Ankenbauer, Robert and Bruce were in attendance of the funeral. "Funeral services were held Sunday from the Brethren Church in Kenmare, interment being made in Lake View Cemetery, Rev. Jorgen Boe, officiating. "We extend sympathy to the bereaved family." CARD OF THANKS "We wish to thank our many friends for their kindnesses shown us during the illness and death of our dear husband and father. -- Mrs. Frank Dollahon and Children."
