He had lived in Nora Springs for the past 18 years. Surviving are his wife; a son, Louis Hoel, Rockford; a step-daughter, Mrs. Maurice (Grace) Dodge, Mason City; a brother, David Hoel, Rockford, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. I. L. (Estella) Dow, Waterloo, and MIss Luraine MIller, who has made her home with the Hoels for the past 30 years. There are ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
