Robert Hannemann officiated at the services. Henry G. Rink, Jr., age 87, of Monticello, died early Friday morning, November 3, 1995 at the Senior Home, Monticello, following an extended illness. Henry George Rink Jr. was born, February 18, 1908 in Wayne Township Jones County, Iowa. He was the son of Henry and Eliza Dirks Rink. He received his education in the rural schools of Wayne Township. Henry started working for Ed Eilers as a farm hand. Henry G. Rink, Jr. and Alvina Husmann were married August 17, 1932 in Wayne Township Jones County, Iowa. The couple made their home in the Monticello community where henry worked as a hog and cattle buyer for Dubuque Pack. When he retired as a livestock buyer, he worked for Bill Folkers, Bill Tuetken, Melvin Tobiason and Glen Rickels doing farm work. Henry was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church. He was baptized March 10, 1908 at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church and confirmed his faith on March 9, 1922 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church. Henry is survived by his wife, Alvina, a daughter, Janice (Glen) Rickels, Monticello, six grandsons, eight great-grandchildren, two sisters, Elizabeth Wilson, Rockford, Illinois, Clara Bader, Monticello. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Joyce Lux, five brothers and four sisters.
