Born March 9, 1928, in Green Creek, NC, he was the son of the late Henry Grady Flynn, Sr. and Alice (Cantrell) Flynn. He was the husband of Betty Ruth (Dodd) Flynn. Mr. Flynn retired from textile management, having been a manager with Spartan Mills and Butte Knit in Spartanburg, and Little Cotton Manufacturing Company in Wadesboro, NC. Read More	Henry Grady Flynn, Jr., 77, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Friday, April 1, 2005, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born March 9, 1928, in Green Creek, NC, he was the son of the late Henry Grady Flynn, Sr. and Alice (Cantrell) Flynn. He was the husband of Betty Ruth (Dodd) Flynn. Mr. Flynn retired from textile management, having been a manager with Spartan Mills and Butte Knit in Spartanburg, and Little Cotton Manufacturing Company in Wadesboro, NC. He was a member of Green Street Baptist Church, where he served as Treasurer, Deacon and as a teacher of the Veteran Sunday School Class, and a graduate of Wofford College, Class of 1952. He served in the Merchant Marines from 1945-1946. From 1946-1948, he was in the U. S. Army, and was a paratrooper with the Occupation Forces in Japan. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Donald Farr of Lakeland, FL; two sons, Danny Flynn of Boiling Springs and David Flynn and his wife, Suzanne, of Duncan, SC; seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Julie Kathryn Flynn. Visitation was held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services were 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 4, 2005, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Thomas C. Moore. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Green Street Baptist Church, 466 Brawley Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
