Description	:	Death Calls Former Resident Henry Heeren, 73, widely known resident of Plymouth and Sioux counties, died at his home at Struble Saturday following an illness which confined him to his home since February. Funeral Services were held Monday afternoon at the residence at Struble, with Rev. R. R. Hunger of LeMars officiating. Interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery at Ireton. Henry H. Read More	Death Calls Former Resident Henry Heeren, 73, widely known resident of Plymouth and Sioux counties, died at his home at Struble Saturday following an illness which confined him to his home since February. Funeral Services were held Monday afternoon at the residence at Struble, with Rev. R. R. Hunger of LeMars officiating. Interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery at Ireton. Henry H. Heeren was born in Hanover, Germany, March 27, 1865, where he received his early schooling. On arriving in this country he located on a farm, in Sioux county where he farmed two years. Leaving the farm he located in Ireton where he engaged in the well drilling business for six years and he then, moved to Struble, following the same occupation. Later he returned to Ireton and established a farm implement and machinery business in addition to well drilling. In 1932 he moved to LeMars where he lived until he returned to Struble. He was united in marriage with Helen Ziegler May 18, 1893, while living in Ireton. While living in Struble Mr. Heeren served as mayor and councilman and took an active part in all community affairs. He was of a social and cheerful disposition and had many friends in both Plymouth and Sioux counties. He is survived by his wife, four sons and four daughters. The children are Otto of Spokane, Wash.; Henry of Fitchburg, Mass., Louis of Hawarden; Walter of Denver, Colo.; Olga of LeMars; Cora of Omaha; Lillian of Wayne, Neb., and Esther of Grand Island, Neb. A daughter, May, and a son, Kenneth, preceded him in death. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. B. P. Meinders of Friendship, Wis., and 12 grandchildren. While living in Ireton Mr. Heeren was very prominent in its business life and for years took a prominent part in all its activities. A large number from here attended the funeral.
