Description	:	Henry H. Lindner was born in Baden, Germany on July 25, 1830. He immigrated to the United States in 1861, locating first in Chicago where he opened and operated a shoe factory, having learned the trade in Germany. In Chicago, shortly after his arrival there, he married Bertha Eicholts. They had four children, Benjamin G., who died in 1883, Jacob, John, and Jennie G., [Mrs. Fred Gebhardt]. Mr. Lindner moved his family in 1880 to Dillon, Montana, then the terminus of the railroad. From Dillon the family traveled by stage to Butte where he engaged in the shoe business. The... He immigrated to the United States in 1861, locating first in Chicago where he opened and operated a shoe factory, having learned the trade in Germany. The family later moved to Helena, where he operated a shoe store. On April 15, 1930, Henry died at age 99 years at the home of his daughter, Jennie Gebhardt on 341 Water Street. Funeral services were held from Opp and Conrad's Chapel; Rev. David J. Donnan officiated. (Helena Independent, 4/16/1930) He has a tombstone inscribed "Father." Section B, Row 8, Family Stone inscribed "Lindner."
