He was born in Agency, Iowa in 1887, where he spent his early life. He moved to Minnesota where he railroaded for six years. Read More	HENRY WEST DIED FRIDAY Had Been In Poor Health For Past Several Months Henry West, 55, resident of Brewster since 1935, passed away at his house last Friday following an illness of several months. He was born in Agency, Iowa in 1887, where he spent his early life. He moved to Minnesota where he railroaded for six years. In 1908 he married Edna Stuber in Ottumwa, Iowa and lived in Cedar City, Iowa for some time before moving to Peshastin, Washington in 1927. The family lived there until 1935 and then moved to Brewster. Mr. West was a member of the Columbia Valley Masonic lodge of Bridgeport No. 193, a member of the Congregational Church and a member of the Brewster Grange. Surviving are his widow; one son, William of Brewster; one daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Churchill of Brewster; his mother, Mrs. Mary E. West of Viola, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Vera Featherstone of Chicago; one brother, Jack West of Spokane; one grandson. Funeral Held Monday Funeral services were held Monday at 2 pm from the Congregational Church at Brewster with N. O. Brooks in charge and the Masonic services given. Fred Schmidt, and old friend of the deceased, eulogized the life of Mr. West. Pallbearers were George Wilson, Damond Morris, Lloyd Milner, G. C. Braker, Wade Troutman, T. H. Pettit. The Smith Funeral Home of Pateros was in charge. Burial was in the Locust Grove Cemetery at Brewster.
