While in Montana he joined in the stampede for... Read More	Obit: "Death of Henry H. Nash Georgetown's Oldest Pioneer After an illness of about two weeks, Henry H. Nash, a pioneer of 1863, died at his home here on Sunday, February 26, at the age of 79 years. Mr. Nash was born at Morris, Ill. on April 1st, 1849 and in his early childhood went with his parents to Chicago. In 1863, while still a lad, he came with his father to Empire, and in 1864 he went to Denver, where he engaged to drive an ox team to Montana for the Kaskadden company. While in Montana he joined in the stampede for the big gold diggings at Alder Gulch and it is believed he was the last surviving member of that famous stampede. After remaining in Montana for a short time he joined a party in a small boat and floated down the Missouri river, returning to Chicago. In 1868 he returned to Georgetown with his sisters and this place has been his home ever since. He was married in Georgetown May 1, 1874, to Miss Barbara Selak and to this union were born two daughters. In the early days Mr. Nash was engaged in the sheet metal and plumbing business and later in mining, but for the past few years failing health had forced him to abandon his occupation. He was a faithful member of the Georgetown Masonic Fraternity, having filled with honor the important chairs of that organization. He was a true christian and his kindly manner had won for him friends wherever he went. Mr. Nash is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Pulsifer of Georgetown and Mrs. H. R. Oliver of Denver. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from Masonic Temple and a large cortage of sorrowing friends accompanied his remains to their last resting place at Alvarado cemetery."
