Description	:	Death of Henry Venhaus Following an illness of several years duration, Henry Venhaus died at his home in Bazile Mills Monday morning at 1 o'clock, death being attributed to apoplexy induced priorly by abnormal blood pressure. Mr. Venhaus was born in Westphalia, Germany April 2, 1871, being past 59 years at the time of death. When he was 18 years of age, he came to the U.S. and located at Dodge, Nebr., being united in marriage with Elizabeth Klement in 1896 and to whom eight children were born, all of whom survive the deceased. The family has resided in Knox county for sixteen years.... The family has resided in Knox county for sixteen years. Mr. Venhaus being engaged in farming, through much of the time. Two years ago they moved to Bazile Mills and operated a confectionery store. The living relatives are, the widow; daughters, Mrs. Luther Sonder, Bazile Mills, Mrs. Wm. F. Schwartz, Winnetoon and Miss Angela at home and five sons, Albert of McCook, Harry of Creighton, Richard, Cyril and Bernard at home. But one brother survives the deceased, Bernard of Canyon, Texas and two sisters, being Mrs. Anton Dartman of near Creighton and Mrs. Shoemaker residing in Germany. Funeral services were held in St. Ludger church Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock, Father Windolph being the celebrant of the mass for the repose of the soul of the deceased. The many friends and the customary floral tributes were evidence of the respect and esteem in which the deceased was held while living. Those who are bereaved are offered consolatory kindness by the many friends of the family.
