Mr. Jones was born in Horry County, a son of the late Lemon Thomas Jones and Minnie Tyler Jones. He was a member of Seaside United Methodist Church in Sunset Beach, NC. Mr. Jones was a member of the Lions Club in Lumberton, NC. He was a US Army Veteran. Mr. Jones enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was predeceased by one son, Henry Kemp Jones; three sisters, Gladys Lewis, Gracie Altman, and Lessie Hucks. Surviving are his wife, Margaret F. Jones of Sunset Beach, NC; two sons, William Thomas Jones and wife Shirley of Orlando, FL, John Emerson Jones of Columbia, SC; three grandchildren, Christine Adare Jones, Henry James Jones, and Luke Bertin Jones; two brothers, Sammie Jones of Galivants Ferry, SC and McAurther Jones of Lumberton, NC; three sisters, Margaret Owens of Marion, SC, Lou Dunn of Galivants Ferry, SC, and Lida Hudson of Florence, SC. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Scott Wilson-Parsons and Rev. Mary Jane Wilson-Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Rehobeth United Methodist Church Cemetery in Galivants Ferry, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to Seaside United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1300 Seaside Road S.W., Sunset Beach, NC 28468.
