Description	:	H. Koele, Sr. Henry Koele was born January 27 [sic], 1854 at Masterbroek, Provence of Overeisel, The Netherlands. On April 10, 1879 he was married to Miss Jennie VanDalfsen and in April 1886 they came to America, living first at Hospers for 9 years, then at Rock Valley for 3 years, balance of the time in Hull and vicinity. J. Leusink and family of Matlock and Henry Koele and family of Hull. There are thirty-four grandchildren. Mr. Koele suffered his first stroke of paralysis four or five years ago, the second, from which he never regained consciousness, occurred Tuesday morning October 5th. He died early Thursday morning October 7th. The funeral was held last Saturday from the family home and from the First Reformed Church, Rev. Kregel officiating, the eight sons acting as pall bearers.
