However, the newspaper at the time of death was from January 5,1949. ----------- Henry Kohlhof, 87, long-time resident of Norfolk, died at 11:50 Tuesday night of old age complications at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Daniel Brunner, 208 Monroe avenue. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Home for Funerals by the Rev. C. T. Hawes, First Methodist minister. Burial is to be in the New Lutheran cemetery. The body will lie in state from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Home for Funerals. Mr. Kohlhof, who was born Oct. 8, 1861, came to Norfolk as a young man and had resided here since that time. Surviving are two sons, Alex and Louis, both of Norfolk; three daughters, Mrs. William Shrader, Ewing; Mrs. Les Daniels, Battle Creek, and Mrs. Brunner; two brothers, Chris, Norfolk, and Diederich, resident of Minnesota. Burial was in the New Lutheran cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. They are Reuben, Robert, Ralph and Irvin Klentz, Darrel Smith and Albert Powers. Mr. Kohlhof was born Oct. 8, 1861, in Lippe, Dettmold, Germany. He arrived in America Dec. 1, 1883, and was married Oct. 18, 1885, to Miss Augusta Boche, who died in 1925. They were the parents of ten sons and daughter, four of whom died in infancy. Another daughter, Mrs. George Klentz, died in 1936. For a number of years Mr. Kohlhof was a section foreman on the railway, later farming for a number of years before retiring and locating in Norfolk. Surviving are two sons, Louis and Alex, Norfolk; three daughters, Mrs. William Shrader, Ewing; Mrs. Gertrude Daniels, Battle Creek, and Mrs. Brunner; twenty grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two brothers, Chris, Norfolk, and Dittrick, Vesta, Minn.
