Description	:	OBITUARY Henry Kritzman was born in Germany in the state of Prussia, Nov. 29, 1828 and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Carrie Williams, on the 17th day of January, 1911, age 82 years 1 month and 16 days. He left his native land and came to America when a young man settling in Illinois. Later moving to Iowa where he has lived for about 30 years. He left his native land and came to America when a young man settling in Illinois. Later moving to Iowa where he has lived for about 30 years. He was married to Hannah Kehrer and to them was born 5 children, 4 of whom are still living, Mrs. Chas. Fisher near Lebanon, Mrs. Jno. Woodward near Keosauqua, John W. Kritzman near Lebanon and Mrs. Williams residing on the old home farm. One daughter, Rose, died in 1881. His wife died at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Williams, Aug. 2, 1896. Father Kritzman as he was known was an honest, peaceable, hard working and industrious man. Doing to others as he wished to be done by, having behind him a clean record. He has been a patient sufferer for more than one year, often expressing his desire to go and be at rest. The funeral services [sic] was held at the Chequest Presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. Hughes. Interment was at the Valentine cemetery by the side of his wife, there to await the Resurrection.
