Peterson Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon of last week at the Wollmer & Warne Funeral Home in Hooper for Henry L. Peterson Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon of last week at the Wollmer & Warne Funeral Home in Hooper for Henry L. Peterson of Omaha, former long-time resident of the Swaburg neighborhood. Mr. Peterson, aged 76 years, died Thursday, December 9, at an Omaha hospital, following a day's illness from a heart attack. Born in Swaburg, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lars Peterson, one the first pioneer homesteading families in this community. He attended school in District No. 54. As a young man he spent some time in Colorado. He married Miss Anna Schuler of Hooper and they resided on their farm in Swaburg. Mrs. Peterson died February 21, 1940, since which time Mr. Peterson had resided in Fremont and Omaha. He was employed as a night watchman in Omaha. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. LeRoy Cramer (Elvira) of Omaha and one son, Vincent Peterson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Bennet, Mrs. Clara Taylor and Mrs. Lillian Johnson, all of Los Angeles, California. His parents, three brothers and one sister preceded him in death. The Rev. Clarence V. Powell, pastor of the Methodist Church in Hooper, officiated at the funeral. Music was provided by Mrs. Rex. Crom and Mrs. Ford Dickerson. Pallbearers were Marvin Mattson, Clifton Peterson, LeRoy Cramer, Leonard Cramer, William Schuler, jr., and Ellis Schuler. Interment was in the Hooper cemetery.
