Description	:	CLAY CENTER -- Henry Lewis Abels, 89, Clay Center, died Tuesday, August 3, 1999, at a Clay Center nursing home. Mr. Abels was farmed in Clay County before his retirement in 1990 when he moved to Clay Center. He was born May 20, 1910, in Blaine Township, the son of William Fredrick and Lulu Mae Kemp Abels. Mr. Abels was a member of the first Presbyterian Church in Clay Center and a lifetime member of the Clay County Historical Society. He married Rosabelle "Rosie" Kimbrough on Sept. 16, 1931. Read More	CLAY CENTER -- Henry Lewis Abels, 89, Clay Center, died Tuesday, August 3, 1999, at a Clay Center nursing home. Mr. Abels was farmed in Clay County before his retirement in 1990 when he moved to Clay Center. He was born May 20, 1910, in Blaine Township, the son of William Fredrick and Lulu Mae Kemp Abels. Mr. Abels was a member of the first Presbyterian Church in Clay Center and a lifetime member of the Clay County Historical Society. He married Rosabelle "Rosie" Kimbrough on Sept. 16, 1931. She survives of the home. Other survivors include two daughters, Joyce Gibbs, Wichita, and Eloyce Abels, Irving, Texas; a brother, Wilfred Abels, Clay Center; two grandchildren; and fourgreat-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m today at the Neill- Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the Henry Abels Memorial Fund to be determined by the family at a later date.
