Description	:	Dec 4, 1925 Henry Lincoln Miller, 58, who was hit by the Detroit Flyer on the Big Four Railroad at the Miami St Crossing Thursday afternoon at 2:45 died near 4:30 the same afternoon after being removed to the Champaign County Hospital. Read More	Dec 4, 1925 Henry Lincoln Miller, 58, who was hit by the Detroit Flyer on the Big Four Railroad at the Miami St Crossing Thursday afternoon at 2:45 died near 4:30 the same afternoon after being removed to the Champaign County Hospital. He never regained consciousness and the physician Dr Mark Houston marveled at the mans vitality. Death was due to a fractured skull, a large hole being made in the back of the right ear. It is thought that when the train hit Mr Millers wagon in which he was riding, he was thrown against a telegraph pole to the north of the track with such force as to fracture the skull. According to eye witnesses, Mr Miller did not see or heed the frantic warnings of Michael Welsh, the Big Four Crossing watchman who tried vainly to stop the man from driving upon the track. Mr Welsh was struck by the wagon and knocked several feet sustaining minor injuries, his life was greatly endangered but he escaped with only a few bruises and his thumb cut. Mr Miller was driving west and succeeded in getting the horse over the track but the train hit the small farm wagon squarely, demolishing it. The horse escaped injuries. Mr Miller was a son of Mr and Mrs Isaac Miller, pioneer residents of Clark County and born March 27, 1867. He was highly respected and had lived in Urbana for several years, his residence being at 672 James Ave. Mrs Miller who has been in a serious physicial condition for some time suffering from neuritis was formerly Miss Buckles. Nine children survive. These are: Mrs Florence Johnson, Mrs Savanna Johnson, Mrs Carrie Houser, Misses Bertha and Elizabeth Miller and Walter Miller all of Urbana. Mrs Zettie Dovel, Millerstown; Arthur Miller, Louisiana; Mrs Mabel Howell of Springfield. Two sisters Hannah, Columbus and Mrs Ollie Evilsizor, New Carlisle, Two brothers Gus, New Carlisle and Joe of Piqua.
