Description	:	Henry Aasheim, the oldest son of Ole and Gunhild Aasheim, was born in August 1912 on the Orstad home place one mile west and six and a half miles south of Canton, SD. When he was two the family moved just across the road from his Grandfather Lars Aasheim and there spent his childhood years with his parents and five sisters and one brother. Their first son Ronald was born while they were on the Knutson farm; their first daughter Lavonne was born after the move to the Ole Twedt farm. Then in 1942 they moved to Humboldt, SD where Delma was born. In 1943 it was back to Lincoln County and the Anton Olson farm where Lynn was born. Finally in March 1945 they made their last move to the Dr. E. M. Eneboe farm and it was there that the last three children, Curtis, Cheryl and Dean were born. Henry was a life long member of Lands Church and after their marriage Melvina joined Lands too.
