Description	:	H. M. "Bud" Holle, age 76, of Huron, died Friday, May 15, 2009, at the SunQuest Healthcare Center. His memorial service was held Wednesday, May 20th at 7:00 PM at the Beadle County Sportsman's Club House. Burial will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 6th at the Graceland Cemetery in Madison, South Dakota. Memorials may be directed to the Beadle County Humane Society. Henry M. "Bud" Holle was born May 8, 1933, at Madison, South Dakota, to Merle and Maude Marie (Miller) Holle. As a young man, Bud worked in his father's greenhouse in Madison. After he graduated from Madison High School in 1951, he attended the University of New Mexico to pursue a degree in radio broadcasting. He was so loyal to his alma mater that he even named his fishing boat "Lobo", the name of the University of New Mexico mascot. Bud worked for a brief time at KJAM radio in Madison before moving to Huron. In Huron, Bud worked at several jobs before settling in at KIJV radio where he worked until his retirement. Bud was "the voice" of the Huron High School Tigers and Huron University athletic teams. His morning broadcast with his weather report was a bright spot with his listening audience. Who will ever forget his "dip at dawn" on chilly mornings, or his warning to the ladies on windy days to "put rocks in your socks and boulders in your bloomers"? Bud was an avid outdoor sportsman who thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Doyel and infant sister Sally; and one brother, John Holle.
