He had been ill for three weeks and on Wednesday was taken to St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids for treatment. Read More	Henry Miller died Friday at the Hospital: The Keystone commuity was saddened Friday morning, Nov. 29th, 1940, by the death of Henry Miller, Keystone business man and council member. He had been ill for three weeks and on Wednesday was taken to St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids for treatment. An operation was performed Thursday evening from which he failed to rally, and his death occurred at 4:00 a.m. Friday. Mr. Miller was born at Keystone, Oct. 2, 1874, a son of Andrew and Maria Miller. He was confirmed in the Luzerne Lutheran church which Mr. Miller had built. They had resided in their present home since 1901. During his early years, Mr. Miller was a contractor and for the past 27 years since 1913, he had operated the Miller Motor Co. For many years he served the town as councilman and also was trustee of St. John's Lutheran church, of which he was faithful member. Surviving are his wife and eight children, Arnold of Ashtown, Ark., Mrs. Florence Severin and Roy, of Keystone, Mrs. Frances Buck of Boone, Iowa, Mrs. Mabel Burmeister, Waldo, Mrs. Pauline Moss, and Harold of Keystone. There are also 12 grandchildren and the follwing brothers and sisters; Herman and Miss Mary Miller of San Diego, CA.,Mrs. Fred Everett and John of Jasper, Minn, Ed Miller of Pipestone, Minn and a twin sister, Mrs. Annie Philliph of Boone. Ia. Funeral services were conducted byRev. A. W. Brauer at 2'clock Sunday afternoon in St. John's Lutheran church, preceded by brief services at the home. Special music was provided by the church choir. The flower girls were Anita Helberg, Lillian Pingel, Joyce Franzenburg, Cleo Petersen, Lavanna Knipp and Kathleen Kruckenberg. Serving as casket bearers were August Jammer, Paul Hellwig, Wm. Boehmke, Mandus Bonewit, John Allers and Frank Braksiek. Relatives from out of town attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Buck, Mrs. Annie Philliph and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lippert of Boone: Ed Miller of Pipestone, Minn.; John Miller of Jasper, Minn.; Mrs. August Beyer of Marion; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Niebes and Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Herjk of Belle Plaine; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kallsen of Kinross, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wehrman of Luzerne. The passing of Henry Miller is a distinct loss to the people of Keystone, and he will be long remembered in the hearts of a host of friends who knew and respected him.
