Description	:	Veteran Korea US Army Henry Nicholas Boer was born on April 12, 1925 to Herman and Winnie (Burma) Boer in Platte, SD. He completed Carroll Township Grade School and attended Platte High School. He went on to serve his country during the Korean Conflict in the US Army from April 1950 until his honorable discharge in October of 1953. Henry returned to start his 65 year farming career joining his parents on the family farm until their retirement and then continuing on his own - relocating to Hot Springs, SD in 1999.
