| Description | : | Henry was one of three children born to Johann Ruediger and Anna Jantz. (David, Susanna and Heinrich). He was born in Karolswalde on the Ukraine / Russian border. His father Johann died in 1865 at Gruenthal, Russia. Henry arrived January 28, 1875 on US soil at the port of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, on the SS Illinois along with his brother David and his sister Susanna and their families.
