Henry Ross Rushing was born in Clarke county, Iowa, November 10, 1884, and died April 28, 1922, at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Rushing, of Osceola, being at the time of his death 38 years 5 months and 17 days of age. He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Vohinski of Omaha, Nebr. This union was broken by death September 23, 1920. He united with the M. P. church four years ago and has since resided in Omaha until January 25th because of declining health, he returned to the parental home and was tenderly cared for by his loved ones. He bore his suffering patiently and always with a kind word. His sister, Mrs. Florence Brophy of Omaha, and daughter, Helen, of Sioux City, were with him when the death summons came. He leaves to mourn his departure four daughters and one son, his parents, five brothers, Lon, Warren, Walter and Roy of Omaha and O. D. of Osceola, and five sisters, Mesdames Phillips, Miller and Brophy of Omaha, Nebr., and Mrs. Carl Miller of Osceola, and Mrs. Etta Jackson of Sioux City, who was unable to attend the funeral on account of sickness. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. W. C. Gray of the M. P. church at the home of his parents. (Unable to read one line in the fold of newspaper). May the Savior who has the power to heal the wounded hearts and to comfort the human soul in all its trials and sorrows, come to this family who are thus so sorely bereaved and while our existence on earth be prolonged lot each of us be true to God and then in that great day when we shall triumphantly pass through Heaven's gate we shall understand the mysteries of earth and shall go forth in glorious light to live forever with the Lord. We desire to extend our sincere thanks for the kindness and sympathy of our many friends and acquaintances, also for the beautiful floral offerings tendered during our time of bereavement.
