Krause of Sioux City officiating. Mr. Albers died at the Ida Grove hospital on Monday, August 7, 1967, after an illness of one year. Burial was in the Midway Cemetery under direction of Christensen Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Orville Albers, Harold Albers, Norman Albers, Donald Albers, Brian Albers, and Cordell Schmidt. The Ladies Aid members of St. John Lutheran church served dinner in the Social Hall of the church to the bereaved family and friends upon their return from the cemetery. Henry Albers, son of Henry and Margaret Brodersen Albers, was born January 22, 1899, at Midway. He lived all his life near this community. He was confirmed in St. Paul Lutheran Church at Midway. On February 27, 1923, he was united in marriage to Hilda Schultz. They farmed at Midway and near Battle Creek until her death October 20, 1941. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, Dick, a sister, Dora, and an infant sister. Survivors include two sons, Lamern of Ida Grove and Marvin of Dubuque, a daughter, Mrs. DeLaine (Lois) Fritz of Battle Creek; four brothers, Tom of Danbury, Bill of Sioux City, Mike and Emil of Battle Creek; a sister, Freda, of Sioux City, and eight grandchildren.
