Weeks were held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock a the home and two thirty at the Bethlehem church. This was one of the largest funerals ever held here, many were unable to ret into the church for the services. Rev. E. R. Rorem, his pastor had charge of the services, assisted by his former pastor Rev. Edward Duea of Dows and Rev. G. C. Swain of Sheldahl. Mrs. Oley Houge, Mrs. Charley Iyen, and Mrs. Anna Lundahl had charge of the many beautiful floral offerings. The Woman's Auxiliary of the Bethlehem Church of which Mrs. Weeks is a member presented a sum of money to the missions in memory of Mr. Weeks. The pall bearers were Ole Storing, J. E. Travase, O. M. Brown, R. C. Hedlund, Thomas Brown and John Buche. Lewis Malmin sang a favorite song of Mr. Weeks, "Grace is Flowing from Calvary." A mixed quartette sand "God's Way is the Best Way" and "Just As I Am." Burial was made in the Slater cemetery. Henry T. Weeks was born near Slater, August 22nd, 1871 and died April 13, 1932 [should be 1933], at the age of 60 years, 8 months and 21 days. His parents were Tores and Martha Weeks. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in 1896 he was married to Miss Julia Larson of near Huxley. She passed away in 1923. He continued to make his home on the farm northwest of Slater. His marriage to Miss Anna Brown took place in March, 1925. Mr. Weeks was an active and faithful member of the Bethlehem church and served as one of the trustees for a number of years. He was one of the most prominent and well-known farmers of Garden township. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and two adopted children, Mrs. Tom Logan and Orville Weeks. Also two brothers, Weir Weeks of Huxley, Oliver Weeks of Zearing, seven sisters, Mrs. Ole Lee of Cambridge, Mrs. Ole Storing, Mrs. John Richardson, Mrs. John Simonson, Mrs. O. M. Brown of Slater, Mrs. J. E. Travase of Des Moines and Mrs. Alice Wilmoth of Los Angeles. All were present at the services but his sister in California.
