Description	:	Boone County Democrat, April 16 1914 Thursday evening, April 9th at his home, 621 West First street occurred the death of Henry T. Fullerton, one of the pioneer residents of the community. For many years Mr. Fullerton has been ill and the past winter his condition was such that he suffered intense pain from complication of kidney and bladder troubles. The discharge passed up through the... Read More	Boone County Democrat, April 16 1914 Thursday evening, April 9th at his home, 621 West First street occurred the death of Henry T. Fullerton, one of the pioneer residents of the community. For many years Mr. Fullerton has been ill and the past winter his condition was such that he suffered intense pain from complication of kidney and bladder troubles. Leaving his family he went into an adjoining room and placing the muzzle of a shot gun against his abdomen, leaned over, discharging the gun by the use of his walking stick. The discharge passed up through the man’s body, death being almost instant. Coroner Whitehill was called and found the evidence showed clearly a case of suicide, and no jury was called. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the late residence and at 3:00 o’clock in the Gospel Tabernacle with Rev. J. Chas. Crawford in charge. Burial took place in Linwood Park cemetery. --------------------------------------------------- Born in Ohio later moving to Wisconsin and then Iowa. Served his country as a cavalryman during the Civil War. He was united in marriage to Victoria Moyer and to this union was born a daughter, who died in infancy and whose death was soon followed by that of the mother. December 13, 1870 he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah J. Harrison, who survives him. To this union there were born twelve children, three of whom died in early childhood. He leaves to mourn his death beside the wife and mother Mrs Sarah J. Fullerton nine children and sixteen grandchildren. The surviving sons and daughters are as follows: Chas of Mountain View, Mo; J.C., of Rock Island, Ill; James H., of Lincoln Neb; Mrs Adolph Wetstein, of Brantford, Can; Mrs E.C. Morgan of West Liberty, Ia; Vernon, John, Ralph and Georgian of Boone, He also leaves two brothers, John Fullerton of Mason City Ia and Robert of Boone.
