"OBITUARY OF HENRY WALLACE McCLUSKEY".--Henry Wallace McCluskey, the eldest son of Clayborne Grace and Martha Harriet McCluskey, was born Oct. 1, 1871 on a farm near Thurman, where he grew to manhood. Almost his entire life was spent in Fremont county, with only brief departures therefrom. He was employed by the Burlington railroad as section foreman for about 30 years before he retired in 1937. "OBITUARY OF HENRY WALLACE McCLUSKEY".--Henry Wallace McCluskey, the eldest son of Clayborne Grace and Martha Harriet McCluskey, was born Oct. 1, 1871 on a farm near Thurman, where he grew to manhood. Almost his entire life was spent in Fremont county, with only brief departures therefrom. He was employed by the Burlington railroad as section foreman for about 30 years before he retired in 1937. On June 19, 1912, he was united in marrriage to Betty Frank Brown of Riverton. As this marriage was not blessed with children of their own, a son, Lloyd, was adopted at the age of six, and grew to manhood in their home. He was a member of the First Christian church of Riverton for about 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Betty, of Sidney, son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. McCluskey of Pacific Junction; a grand daughter, Betty Jo, of Pacific Junction; two brothers, Otis of Council Bluffs and George of Cape LaGuardia, Mo., and many friends and acquaintances. He passed away at the Hamburg hospital Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1947. Services were held at the Crawford Funeral Home in Sidney Thursday afternoon, Sept. 4, conducted by Rev. Chastian. Interment was made at Riverton. N.B.: His mother was Harriett Martha Acord, daughter of Henry L. and Elizabeth (Baxla) Acord, and sister of Amos Decatur Acord. She married (2) David Newell Watts (died Feb. 14, 1923).....His father was Clayborne McCluskey, son of David and Minerva McCluskey....The first Mrs. Henry L. Acord died in 1853, and the widower married (2) Nancy McCluskey, sister of Clayborne.--W.F.
