De Vries, C.J. de Munck, Dr. W.R. Meir, Cornelius Vande Steeg, C. Lee Barks, Arie Kanis and Congressman Charles B. Hoven. The Masons attended in a body. Interment was made in the Nassau Twp. Cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral home. Henry W, Klein was born in Denentar (sic!), the Netherlands, June 11, 1877, He came to the United States at the age of nine years with his parents, four brothers and four sisters. He was the last survivor of this family. He married Hattie Riedeman on October 25, 1906 and she survives with one son, Robert of Des Moines. Henry Klein was an Alton businessman for many years prior to his retirement in 1943. He also served as a councilman and as city clerk for several years of the more than 60 years he resided in this community. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church of Alton. He was a member of the Floyd Masonic Lodge for the past 46 years and also of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was its Master in 1927 and served the Lodge as secretary for more than 25 years. Mr. and Mrs. Klein served together as Worthy Patron and Worthy Matron, order of Eastern Star. In addition to his widow and his son he is survived by seven nephews and five nieces.
