Third St., Norfolk, a retired business man, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Floyd Wessling will officiate, and burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. He was born Sept. 24, 1876, to William J. and Lillian Nims in Floyd County, Iowa, where his father was the first white male child born in pioneer days. He was a salesman for Dempster Mills of Beatrice until 1920 when he moved to Norfolk. Following the death of his first wife, he married Dr. Jesse Crane, who died about 1932. Later he married Flora Moore, and with her operated a book store on North Fourth Street for a number of years. She died about 1944, and Mr. Nims, after selling the book store, was employed as a salesman for a welding equipment company. He retired in 1964. He married Sadie Snell on Aug. 4, 1946, at Atkinson. She survives, as do two children. William Nims of New York, N.Y., and Mrs. George (Marjorie) Ballantyne of Worcester, Mass.; several grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Nina Casey of Osage, Iowa.
