Description	:	The Wilson family is sad to announce the peaceful passing of Herbert Wilson, of McAdam NB, at the Oromocto Hospital on March 26, 2014. Herb was born in Harvey Station, NB on June 15, 1924, a son of the late Willard Newton and Ivy Mae (Swan) Wilson. He was a veteran of the Second World War and was employed as a carman for the Canadian Pacific Railway until his retirement. Herb was a proud member of the McAdam Royal Canadian Legion Branch #7. Herb was born in Harvey Station, NB on June 15, 1924, a son of the late Willard Newton and Ivy Mae (Swan) Wilson. He was a veteran of the Second World War and was employed as a carman for the Canadian Pacific Railway until his retirement. Herb was a proud member of the McAdam Royal Canadian Legion Branch #7. An avid hunter and fisherman, his many amusing stories will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He is survived by Pearl, his wife of 64 years, his children Heather Cleghorn(Larry) of Brockway, NB, Hannah Gibbon(Jack) of Brockway, NB, Tom (Una) of Rothesay, NB and Willard of Harvey Station, NB., sister Clarice Melanson (Stan) of Fredericton, NB and sister-in-law Ruby Wilson of McAdam, NB. His cherished grandchildren Ryan Cleghorn(Tina) of Harvey Station, NB; great-grandchildren Colby and Brooke; Sharon Roberts (Dan), of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, great-grandchild Damian; Angela Goedhard (Trevor Martin) of Lepreau, NB, great-grandchildren Logan and Morgan; Tina Paine (Chris), of Winchester, Ont., great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Nathanial and Sorsha; Warren Gibbon (Sabrina Dussault), of Montreal, QC.; Carrie Crozier (Robbie), of Sydney, Australia; Erica Wilson (Jordon Sauve), of Saskatoon, Sask.; Lee Wilson (Erica White), of Halifax, NS; Alicia Wilson (Troy McKeen), of Harvey Station, NB., great-grandchildren Chase and Luc; Sara Hill (Derek), of Oromocto, NB, great- grandchildren Tristen, Lily, Braydyn, Ava and Gunnar; Tyler Wilson (Kari Laking), of Harvey Station, NB, great-grandchildren Landen and Brookyln. In addition, his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Ivy May, and his brother Arleigh. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Oromocto Hospital and the Wauklehegan Manor in McAdam. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's United Church, McAdam, NB on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 2 PM. A reception will follow at the church. Interment at Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, NB.
