One of the most maligned presidents, you were a great statesman President Hoover. Belgium owes its life to you, you fed its children, you personally handed out money to people in need from your own pocket. Had you come in Harding or Coolidge's time, who knows, even FDR borrowed ideas from you. You were a man of superior genius and understanding, "The Great Engineer". Stanford is greater for your efforts. Iowa is proud to have you as its native son. Read less

Mr. President, I saw your museum and gravesite in West Branch on Sunday July 4th. It was a great time, and a wonderful museum. I was moved when I stood in front of your grave. You were a great man, and I wish more people had liked you after the Depression.
