Description	:	Herbert Ellis Jennings, son of James H Jennings and Matie Schultz Jennings Crowder, was born March 26, 1912 at Guide Rock, Nebraska and passed away April 9, 1972, at the age of 61 years and 14 days. He spent his younger life around Guide Rock until graduating for High School in 1931. After that he went to the Sand Hills in western Nebraska where he spent his life in ranching. Read More	Herbert Ellis Jennings, son of James H Jennings and Matie Schultz Jennings Crowder, was born March 26, 1912 at Guide Rock, Nebraska and passed away April 9, 1972, at the age of 61 years and 14 days. He spent his younger life around Guide Rock until graduating for High School in 1931. After that he went to the Sand Hills in western Nebraska where he spent his life in ranching. He enjoyed taking care of his livestock and ranch. He never complained about how he felt and was so interested in his work. He was married to Julia Novak of Bladen, November 6, 1937. To this union four children, were born, Richard, James and Beryl survive. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Julia, two sons and two daughters-in-law, Richard and Bonnie of Elgin and Jim and Judy of Bonita, California and one daughter and son-in-law Beryl and Joe Hedrick of Armona, California, and five grandchildren, Teresa and Todd Jennings of Elgin, Jamie Jennings of Bonita, Calif and Tami and Daniel Hedrick of Aromna, Calif. He also leaves two sisters, Alyce Wulf of Guide Rock and Gladys Mahon of Haigler, Nebr, and his stepfather J C Crowder and a host of relatives and friends. Herbert entered the Boone County Hospital at Albion, Nebr on March 26, 1973 and never recovered from his illness. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and his father and mother. The services were held at the Guide Rock Methodist Church April 12 with Rev Charles Burt officiating. Pallbearers were George Schultz, Marion Schultz, Walter Warren, Albert Payne, Harold Britton and Loren Hoskins. Burial was at the Guide Rock Cemetery
