He was born on November 17, 1925, a son of William Trott and Frances (Soule) Wright. He attended Woolwich schools and attended Morse High School. Wright, 89, a lifelong resident of Woolwich died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Winship Green Nursing Center in Bath. He was born on November 17, 1925, a son of William Trott and Frances (Soule) Wright. He attended Woolwich schools and attended Morse High School. He was drafted during his senior year and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He then graduated from Morse High School in the Class of 1947. On June 5, 1948 he married Vera R. Smith. He was employed as a wood contractor for his grandfather and later for his father. He was employed as a substitute mail carrier for 20 years and in 1969 became full time as a third generation mail carrier in Woolwich. He was a member of the Woolwich Grange where he met his wife, a member of the Mason’s in Bath for many years, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Woolwich. He enjoyed working and especially spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his wife, Vera R. Wright on March 8, 2009 one son, William H. Wright on August 11, 1998, two brothers, Harland Wright and Henry Wright and one grandson, William “Billy” T. Wright in 1991. He is survived by one son, Gary Wright and his wife Mary of Woolwich, daughter in law, Pamela Wright of Woolwich, one brother, Frank Wright of Clarkston, WA, three grandchildren, Melinda Turner, Wilbur Wright and Rachel Green, four great grandchildren, Lucas Green, Bailey Turner, Sawyer Wright and Carson Wright and many nieces and nephews. Burial will be at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Woolwich. Memorial contributions may be made to CHANS Home Health Care, 45 Baribeau Drive, Brunswick, 04011. (Daigle Funeral Home)
