Description	:	BARNEY, HERBERT HOSEA—Herbert Hosea Barney, son of Hosea and Hannah Barney, was born in Provicence, Ill., March 30, 1859. He suffered a paralytic stoke March 4, 1933, and died March 12, 1933, aged 73 years, 11 months and 5 days. February 5, 1880, he was united in marriage to Sarah E. McLeroy. To this union was born one son, Harold. In 1886 Mr. and Mrs. Barney moved from Providence, Ill., to a farm near Strang, Neb., and lived in this community for thirty-five years. Read More	BARNEY, HERBERT HOSEA—Herbert Hosea Barney, son of Hosea and Hannah Barney, was born in Provicence, Ill., March 30, 1859. He suffered a paralytic stoke March 4, 1933, and died March 12, 1933, aged 73 years, 11 months and 5 days. February 5, 1880, he was united in marriage to Sarah E. McLeroy. To this union was born one son, Harold. In 1886 Mr. and Mrs. Barney moved from Providence, Ill., to a farm near Strang, Neb., and lived in this community for thirty-five years. In 1921 they moved to Geneva, where they lived eleven years. In April 1932, they moved back to the farm with their son Harold, who tenderly cared for him during his illness. Mr. Barney was reared in a home of the Congregational faith. He was a faithful husband, a kind and loving father. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, who has been his companion for fifty-two years, his son Harold, a daughter-in-law and two grandchildren, Donald and Faye; and many friends. The funeral was conducted at the home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 14. Rev. David Tudor of the Geneva Congregational Church officiated. Interment was in the Geneva Cemetery. Card of Thanks. We want to thank the many friends and neighbors for the kindness, sympathy and help shown, and for the beautiful flowers sent during the illness and death of our husband, father and grandfather.
