Burial in the Victor Memorial Cemetery Herbert Lyle Neuhaus was the son of Fred and Florence Messer Neuhaus. He was raised in Victor and graduated from Victor High School. He served with the US Army Air Corp during World War II. He was married to Wilma Jean Burke on January 6, 1946 at St John's Lutheran Church south of Victor. Read More	Herbert Neuhaus age 81 of Victor, Iowa died on Thursday at the Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Burial in the Victor Memorial Cemetery Herbert Lyle Neuhaus was the son of Fred and Florence Messer Neuhaus. He was raised in Victor and graduated from Victor High School. He served with the US Army Air Corp during World War II. He was married to Wilma Jean Burke on January 6, 1946 at St John's Lutheran Church south of Victor. To this union were born four children; Linda, Larry, Lyle and Lynn. They lived most of their married lives in Victor. He worked for the Amana Refrigeration Company for ten years and later worked as a rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service. Retiring in 1989 after 45 years of service. He was a member of the Victor Volunteer Fire Department, a charter member of the Lincoln, Iowa Am-Vets, and a 60 year member of the Harold E Smith American Legion Post #54 where he served as treasurer for many years. He was involved with the Victor Boy Scouts and served as scout master and as a financial officer. He was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Some of his hobbies included golf, bowling and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
