Herb was a member of the graduating class of 1955 from Monticello High School and served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a farmer for 48 years. Herb was a school bus driver for 36 years for Twin Lakes School Corporation from which he retired. He also drove a tanker truck for 20 years, and worked for RCA for two years. He was a member of The Independent Order of Fellows where he served as Past Noble Grand, presently served as the Chaplin, and also served as cemetery trustee. Everyone who knew Herb would agree he loved to talk! Above all else, he cherished time spent with his family.
