Description	:	Herbert R. McIntire, 56, of Eureka died in a local hospital early Tuesday morning after a brief illness. He was born in Olmstead, Minn., on August 26, 1901, and came to California prior to 1930. From 1930 to 1940, he was district manager for Safeway Stores, Inc. From 1940 to 1947, he lived in the Bay area ad worked in the shipyards and in merchandising. Since 1947, he and his wife have owned and operated the Cutte grocery store. McIntire, 56, of Eureka died in a local hospital early Tuesday morning after a brief illness. He was born in Olmstead, Minn., on August 26, 1901, and came to California prior to 1930. From 1930 to 1940, he was district manager for Safeway Stores, Inc. From 1940 to 1947, he lived in the Bay area ad worked in the shipyards and in merchandising. McIntire of Eureka; a daughter, Mrs. Beverly Lambert of Paramount; a granddaughter, Cheryl Lambert of Paramount; brothers, George McIntire of Rochester, Minn., and Harold McIntire of Chester, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Arthur Schultz of Rochester, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews in Minnesota and California. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday from the Chapel of the Pierce Mortuary. The Rev. George H. Warman will officiate. Encryptment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Active pallbearers: Bert Lewis, Thomas Freeman, John Sandretto, Norman Clough, Paul Winkelman and Joseph Bonomini. Honorary pallbearers: Milton Fist, George Clonery, Charles Rondolini, Jess Wolfe, Larry Bass and Henry Pederson. Memorial donations may be made to the heart fund.
