Parker of Chicago had passed away at the Ravenswood Hospital. Mr. Parker was a man in the very prime of life that was filled with promise and he with his happy little family looked out upon the world with every assurance of happiness and success. His every visit here made his friendships more numerous, jovial and with delightful personality, he won the esteem of every one with whom he came in contact. A short time ago he suffered an attack of blood poisoning and despite all that could be done by physicians and specialists, he continued to grow worse until death relieved his sufferings. Obituary Herman Arthur Parker was born January 29, 1881, in Delmar, Iowa. He was the youngest child of Henry and Sarah T. Parker. After attending the local schools he entered the Dixon Business College from which he graduated in 1905. June the 6, 1906, he was married to June E. York of Maquoketa, Iowa. To this union were born two children. Edward B., who died in infancy, and Anna Catherine, who is now three years of age. Mr. Parker has been a resident of Chicago for the past eleven years. He has been a steadfast Mason for many years of Iowa Lodge No. 2 of Muscatine, Iowa. August 15, 1920 he was called from this world, being 39 years, 7 months and 7 days of age. He leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife, a daughter, Anna Catherine, two sisters, Mrs. W. C. Paris, Delmar. Iowa, and Mrs. Emmett Yost, Lost Nation. Iowa, besides many other relatives. The deceased was a member of the Ravenswood Presbyterian Church, of Chicago. Ill. He lived a life of great usefulness and was called when his work was completed. The funeral was held at Delmar Wednesday afternoon, with interment in the cemetery there. A large number of friends from this city attended the last sad rites and paid their last respects to this splendid young man.
