Description	:	Oakwood used to be called Rondell Cemetery. Herman was the oldest child of Robert and Mary Ehrheart Foster who were married in Beaver County, PA on 14 May 1857. Herman was born there in Beaver Falls, PA in 1858. Herman married Essie Mae Wilson. Both of them lived in Nelson, Buffalo, WI. Then both her family and his moved out west in about 1882. Essie bought the cemetery plot in what was then called Rondell Cemetery in ND and his body was shipped back to Rondell. It is in the second row on the South side once you enter the gate, 2nd lot over from the driveway. Herman's death record says that he died of "caries acetabulum head of fenner" According to Wikipedia:" The hip joint, scientifically referred to as the acetabulofemoral joint, is the joint between the femur and acetabulum of the pelvis and its primary function is to support the weight of the body in both static (e.g. standing) and dynamic (e.g. walking or running) postures." I believe Herman had a bad accident which broke his hip bone and that was the cause of his death that the clerk was writing down as "Caries acetabulum head of femmer (femur)" Essie Mae remarried in 1899 to another Nelson, WI farmer she met out west: William Henry Marsh who also died at age 31 of typhoid, leaving her a widow once again. She then moved to Skagit County, WA along with her family and remarried a 3rd time to Virgil Wickwire, who had been a hired hand on the Marsh farm in Erie,North Dakota. Elsie Foster was the witness for that wedding in Skagit County, WA in 1904. Elsie Foster married William L Engle in 1905 in Spokane, WA.
