Description	:	Herman Fredrick Lange was born September 11, 1866 to Mr. and Mrs. John Lange at Posen, Germany. In 1873, he came with his parents to America where they settled in Faribault county, Minnesota. A few years later they moved to Boyd, Minnesota where they lived until 1917 when they moved to Montana. On December 29, 1892, Herman Lange was united in marriage with Matilda Guhlke of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. To this union were born six children. Read More	Herman Fredrick Lange was born September 11, 1866 to Mr. and Mrs. John Lange at Posen, Germany. In 1873, he came with his parents to America where they settled in Faribault county, Minnesota. A few years later they moved to Boyd, Minnesota where they lived until 1917 when they moved to Montana. On December 29, 1892, Herman Lange was united in marriage with Matilda Guhlke of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. To this union were born six children. They are; Ida(Mrs. Paul Riedinger) of Sidney, Montana; Pauline who died in infancy; Louis, Otto and Leo of Savage Montana; and Herman Jr. of Seattle, Washington. He also leaves to mourn his passing 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. His wife passed away in 1908. Having the responsibility of both father and mother, he moved with his four sons to Savage, Montana in 1917 where he lived until February 1, 1955. Because of age and health he had his daughter come from Cando, N.D. to make a home in Sidney with him. He still continued in fair health until Dec 9th when he suffered a stroke from which he never recovered. He passed away Dec 17 at the Sidney Memorial hospital at the age of 90 years, 3 months, 6 days. Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran church of Savage with Rev. Henry L. Erickson officiating. Burial was in the Riverview Cemetery at Savage with the Cloyd-Gorder Mortuary in Charge
